Gallery: Genseikaen

Gensei-kaen is a natural flower garden on the northeastern coast of Hokkaido between Abashiri and Shiretoko. This garden stretches for over 8 kilometers in the sand hills bordering the ocean. Over 300 species of flowers can be found here, but the garden is at its best in late June when you will find over 40 different species in bloom. You can wander through the sand hills enjoying the flowers with the Shiretoko mountains in the background, or enjoy a quiet stroll along the deserted beach.
