Emobile Wireless Broadband Card

If you need to keep connected during your stay in Japan, it is not always easy to find internet connectivity. Even the largest hotels in Japan may have wireless available, but only in the lobby. If you will need something more than this, we provide a wireless broadband card rental service.

The wireless broadband card is from Emobile, the largest wireless broadband provider in Japan. Emobile advertises they cover 90% of Japan. The card will work in all metropolitan areas as well as many rural areas. For example, on our Best of Japan tour, the cards will work everywhere except for Koya-san.

The cards are USB 2.0 compliant, and all of the necessary software to operate the card is stored on the card. All you have to do is insert the card into your USB port, and follow the instructions in English. You can also request the operating software to be installed in English, making the software easy to use. The card is compatible with the following operating systems:

Windows

  • Windows Vista Home Basic (32 and 64 bit)
  • Windows Vista Home Premium (32 and 64 bit)
  • Windows Vista Business (32 and 64 bit)

Rental

The rentals are available only for Samurai Tour clients. If you would like to reserve a card, please let us know as soon as possible. We only have a limited number of cards, and they will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

We require a $125 refundable deposit to reserve the card which will be refunded after the card has been returned to Samurai Tours. You will only pay for the number of days you use the card. The charge for usage is $2.50 per day. There is also a $20 handling charge.
